Ilze Egle is a visual artist based in Latvia. Ilze’s art is a combination of abstraction and investigation of forms in nature. Her practice is in a way spiritual and reveals her environmental, social and spiritual consciousness. With her drawings, prints, paintings, and photographs she looks into small fractions of forms and exposes them monumental. Besides graduating Art Academy of Latvia Ilze has studied also traditional bread baking and has developed unique bread recipes of sourdough scalded bread.
She found in Andalucia a new inspiration for her drawings: colour! Ilze has captured it while her artist residence in Castilblanco.
